Our actions and/or comments can sometimes be discriminatory and/or stigmatizing without our being aware of it. The purpose of this website is not to make any judgments. Our hope is to get HIV poz and neg guys talking to each other, so that we can better understand one another and help prevent further stigma and discrimination within our community. Learning how we can improve our communication in sharing HIV status can also help in preventing new infections among Gay/Bi/MSM.
Watch the video below and see how two guys (one poz and the other neg) interact with each other. Think about experiences you have had with someone with a different HIV status than your own. Share your comments and thoughts about the video and/or personal experiences you have had. Some possible questions to think about: How did you deal with those experiences? What could you do to make guys more aware of actions that may be stigmatizing? How can we make sharing HIV status with each other easier and more effective? Those are some questions to think get you thinking, but do not be limited by those questions, add whatever you feel can be helpful in stopping HIV stigma and discrimination among ourselves.
Also, please complete the survey according to your HIV status.

"This video is very good. I hope more guys will watch it and see how they can hurt someone without really realizing it. We need to learn how to communicate more effectively. We get enough stigma from outside our community."
"Watching this video reminds me of all the times I've had sex... even asked for status... yet never really knew for sure. I feel pressure to perform certain 'safe' acts -- which as far as I read, aren't entirely safe. But I'm afraid of not doing what's expected. If I were HIV positive, I'm sure rejection would wear me down. That would be a human condition. Very good."
"Really good. It makes me want to make a video, with other information-- like risk factors. I'm a writer and I've made a feature."
HIVBigDeal.org produced the Video - check out their website."
